Once you have obtained a pilot licence there are a number of ratings and endorsements that you can undertake to enhance your flying skills and to add other privileges to your license.

The Night VFR Instrument Rating is a valuable addition to your licence, allowing you to legally depart before first light and to arrive at your destination after last light when weather conditions permit safe flight.

The Night VFR Rating requires a minimum of 10 hours dual flight training including two hours of night circuits and 5 hours of navigation. On meeting the standards required an Approved Testing Officer will conduct a flight test with you after which your license will be endorsed with a Night VFR Rating.
